General Membership Mtg Tonight Cancelled
Wed 7/1

The SPFYBA General Membership Meeting for this evening Wed 7/1 has been cancelled due to the high school being closed today.

SPFYBA Playoffs Update

Congratulations to Ken Miller and his Cubs Team.  In an extremely exciting game, the crowd of over 100 people saw the Cubs take down Glenn Guensch’s Astros 9-8 in 7 innings.  It was a great game that had five lead changes and ultimately had the Cubs prevail as the 2009 Junior Division Champs.

Don’t forget we have the All Star games on Thursday night at Park 1 and Park 2.

Congratulations to Ken Geissel and the Reds who defeated Scott Rodgers and the Mets to win the 6th Grade 50/70 Division’s World Series. The Reds become SPFYBA’s first ever 50/70 league champions. Congratulations team! And also, congratulations and thanks to all the players and coaches in the 50/70 division this year. The division was a resounding success and appears to be "here to stay". Thanks again for creating that success!

Congratulations in the  5th Grade Majors Division to Kevin McSherry and the Orioles for winning the championship over Mike Sutterlin and the Diamondbacks by the score of 7-5 in the championship.

Congratulations to Joe Bonaccorso and the Cardinals for winning the Senior Division World Series. The Cardinals defeated Joe Lettieri’s A’s in a thrilling 9 inning game by the score of 4-3. The game ended with the potential tying run being tagged out at home on a steal attempt.

No Parking on Valley Road
Violators may be ticketed

Everyone should be reminded that there is No Parking on Valley Road. This includes anywhere near the parking lot and anywhere near the batting cages. Coaches should drop off equipment and park in the lot. No parking in the little drive up area by the cages. Parents may NOT wait outside the cages in their car for players. Please adhere to these rules. Our neighbors have been patient with us, and we don’t want to see anyone issued a parking summons. THANK YOU!!
