Welcome to the 2010 SPFYBA Parents Auxiliary!

Our second meeting this year will be Monday, May 17th at 7:00pm upstairs at the Booth Field Hut. We will finalize any loose ends for this year's June 6th picnic.

We also would like to toss around some ideas for other events besides the picnic and any other ideas that you feel may enhance the league in general.

If you know of anyone else in the league that you think would be interested in getting more involved, please invite them along.

What is the Parents Auxillary?
Last year the Parents Auxiliary was created to serve as the coordinating arm of the Scotch Plains Fanwood Youth Baseball Association for social events. The Parents Auxiliary held the first ever SPFYBA picnic last June, which was a smashing success. Over 500 people attended the affair at Jerseyland Park. This year's picnic will be held Sunday, June 6, at Jerseyland Park.
 
The Parents Auxiliary also organizes the players and coaches marching in the annual Memorial Day parade through downtown Scotch Plains and Fanwood. While the annual Patriots Night, also coordinated by the Parents Auxiliary, has been put on hold this year due to scheduling conflicts, we are exploring other ideas, such as a golf outing and a social party for the parents.
 
We welcome anyone interested in getting more involved in the league and ask that you join us Monday April 12, 2010 at 7:30pm in the high school cafeteria to start planning the picnic and to discuss new ideas you have to share. For more information please contact Bill Gale at wfgale@yahoo.com.
